At Least 1 Killed in Collision on 8th Avenue Wednesday
Los Angeles, CA (August 25, 2021) – One person died following a car crash that occurred on 8th Avenue Wednesday evening, according to My News LA.
Authorities said a catastrophic incident took place in the 6124 block of S. 8th Avenue; in the area between Slauson Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard.
At this time, it remained unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision.
Deadly Car Crash in Los Angeles, August 25
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 9:45 p.m. First responders found one person trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. Sadly, the man succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car crash on 8th Avenue.
