Los Angeles: Fatal Car Crash on Interstate 10

At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Santa Monica Freeway

Los Angeles, CA (March 8, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 10 Freeway Wednesday, March 8.

The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided in the westbound side of the freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard. Officials mentioned the force from the impact caused one car to catch fire. The description of the vehicles involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.

CHP logged the case around 2:02 a.m.

Deadly Traffic Accident on Interstate 10 Near Crenshaw Boulevard

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found at least one person lying in the middle of the roadway. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, but they later sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Police shut down a portion of the freeway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal crash happened on Interstate 10 near Crenshaw Boulevard.
