CHP Reports One Dead, Six Hurt in Crash in Jefferson Park Area
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 22, 2024) – One person died and six others were injured early Sunday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway, near Arlington Avenue in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at 3:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Santa Monica 10 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reports.
Firefighters and paramedics responded and confirmed the death of one person dead at the scene, but six others were treated and taken to hospitals, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The name of the person who died was not released, pending notification of their next of kin.
