LOS ANGELES, California (May 24, 2016) – A front-seat passenger identified as Luis Flores-Nieto was killed and two people were seriously injured after a Chevrolet Camaro slammed into a parked van at 10300 Wilshire Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The deadly crash took place about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police believe the car was speeding when it struck the parked vehicle and killed the 20-year-old Fontana man.
Paramedics responded and rushed the two surviving occupants of the Camaro to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Police closed down Wilshire Boulevard between Comstock Avenue and Beverly Glen Boulevard. An investigation into the tragedy is underway.
