2 Dead, 3 Hospitalized
LOS ANGELES, California (October 16, 2016) – Two 25-year-old men were killed when a motorist allegedly ran through a red traffic light and crashed into another motorist Saturday morning in a Koreatown neighborhood, according to Daily News.
The crash was reported at 2:30 a.m. in the area of West Third Street and Wilton Place.
Police say a vehicle had been traveling westbound on Third Street when its driver failed to stop at the red light causing a collision with a vehicle headed northbound on Wilton Place.
The vehicle struck by the at-fault driver veered off the roadway and hit a pole resulting it to catch fire.
Two men inside of the vehicle died at the scene as neither of their identities has been disclosed.
Three others were immediately transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. Their condition at this time remained unknown.
The driver of the vehicle who ran the red light did not remain at the scene and continued driving.
Police officials are currently investigating and have a person of interest being questioned.
