Pedestrian Killed in Los Angeles Crash on 101 Freeway Near Temple Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 16, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on the 101 Freeway near Temple Street in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 8:06 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Los Angeles. The driver hit him on the southbound 101 Freeway near Temple Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene, just north of the 110 Freeway. They found the man in his 60s down on right hand shoulder as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. The cause of the fatal Los Angeles pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the southbound 101 Freeway to shut down near Temple Street after the accident.
