Pedestrian Killed in Los Angeles Crash on South Figueroa Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 18, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:48 p.m.
Los Angeles police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit the person in the 300 block of South Figueroa Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the person dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Police located the car, a white or gray small-to-midsize SUV, near the site with its blinkers on and apparent damage to its hood.
Officers forced a stretch of Figueroa Street to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the fatal Los Angeles pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
