2 Men Killed in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at Normandie Avenue and 95th Street
LOS ANGELES (September 24, 2019) – Two pedestrians were killed after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Normandie Avenue and 95th Street Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol said the fatal accident took place at about 8:25 p.m. in the Westmont neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
According to KTLA and CBS Los Angeles, two male pedestrians were walking west across Normandie Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle.
The driver was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed southbound when they hit the men at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 95th Street.

Paramedics responded to the site and pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. The other man was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
Their names have not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Officials described them as a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid and took off south on Normandie. The car reportedly left its license plate in the process.
