1 Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on 10 Freeway at Maple Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 3, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway and Maple Avenue in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred late Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:08 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle was veering in and out of traffic lanes on the eastbound 10 Freeway in Los Angeles. After some time, the driver slammed into another car at Maple Avenue.
Drunk Driver Hits Another Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the victim vehicle who complained of pain to their head as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the swerving motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They believed that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Officers forced the eastbound 10 Freeway at Maple to shut down following the wreck. The Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
