1 Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on 10 Freeway Near Soto Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 2, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway near Soto Street in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the accident on October 1 at about 8:24 p.m.
CHP said a gray Honda Civic, a gray Dodge van and a third vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Los Angeles. The three crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway between Soto Street and the 5 Freeway.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log added that the Honda came to a stop on the right hand shoulder while the van rested in the center divider. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the third vehicle did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down for more than half an hour near Soto following the wreck. The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
