Pregnant Woman Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at Main Street and Century Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 8, 2022) – A pregnant woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Main Street and Century Boulevard in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:52 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of South Main Street and Century Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a three-month pregnant woman who complained of pain to her neck as a result of the collision.
2 Vehicles Collide
The patient sustained minor injuries upon impact. Medical personnel then rushed her to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded victim and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and fled the area.
They located a silver Kia Optima on the southbound 110 Freeway at Rosecrans Avenue. Officers forced the corner of Main Street and Century Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
