LAPD Officer Injured in Collision Near 27th Street Tuesday
Los Angeles, CA (March 9, 2022) – An officer from the Los Angeles Police Department suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Central Avenue.
According to the On Scene TV, an unidentified motorist collided with a vehicle driver by the LAPD officer. The crash took place Tuesday at about 9:08 p.m.
Emergency crews arrived at the location and found the officer with injuries. Medical personnel reportedly treated the LAPD commander at the scene. The name of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, responding police officer spotted the suspect near 27th Street. The unidentified motorist apparently fled the scene after the collision; but was later found and apprehended.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic crash on Central Avenue in Los Angeles.
