LOS ANGELES, California (May 17, 2016) – An LAPD officer suffered injuries following a 2-car crash in Exposition Park at Exposition Boulevard and Figueroa Street, according to an article by CBS Los Angeles.
The accident happened on May 16 just before 2:00 a.m.
As per the report, the officer was driving her police car through the intersection when a vehicle suddenly struck her.
The force from the impact resulted in the officer suffering in moderate injuries. She was rescued and transported to a hospital for proper treatment.
No injuries were sustained by the driver of the other vehicle.
Initial investigation stated that the vehicle which struck the officer ran against a red light.
The names of the involved have not been released at this time.
