Man in Wheelchair Critically Injured in Los Angeles Crash at Nordhoff and Burnet
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 26, 2023) – A man in a wheelchair was critically injured after a crash at Nordhoff Street and Burnet Avenue in Los Angeles.
According to an article published by the On Scene TV, the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision on May 23 at around 8:10 p.m.
Los Angeles police said the incident happened when two vehicles struck the man in a wheelchair. For an unknown reason, the cars hit him at the intersection of Nordhoff Street and Burnet Avenue.
Victim Hit by Cars
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim down on the ground. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a trauma center and listed him in critical condition. The report did not release the name of the wounded party.
Meanwhile, police added that both drivers stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Nordhoff and Burnet to shut down for a time after the wheelchair accident.
The cause of the Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
