LOS ANGELES: Motorcyclist Injured in Car Crash 110 Freeway at Gage Ave

Los Angeles motorcycle accidentLOS ANGELES, California (July 25, 2016) — A motorcyclist was injured Monday morning in a collision with a BMW sedan on the northbound Interstate 110 Harbor Freeway at West Gage Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash took place about 7:53 a.m. this morning between the red motorcycle and a BMW. The rider was laying in the No. 1 lane and the bike in the No. 2 lane. Several other vehicles stopped and someone was trying to give CPR to the rider. Paramedics were sent to the scene to transport the injured rider to a hospital.

All traffic lanes were blocked due to the crash. The report indicated a silver Volkswagen was towed from the scene, but it does not state whether it was involved in the collision.

The Compton Unified School District had two unmarked units at the scene including a dark blue Ford 500 with exempt plates on it.

The crash is under investigation by police to determine liability.
