LOS ANGELES, California (April 1, 2016) — A 27-year-old man identified as David Olney was killed Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle was involved in a multi-vehicle collision in the 1400 block of West Carson Street, near Haldale Avenue, a Los Angeles Police Department report said.
The fatal crash took place about 3:25 p.m. when the bike reportedly rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped in traffic to allow a pedestrian to walk across the street in a crosswalk. The rider was unable to stop in time and crashed into the vehicle where he died at the scene. It was not disclosed whether anyone else was hurt in the collision.
Liability for this crash is under investigation by police.
