California Highway Patrol Officer Hit and Injured by Vehicle on 10 Freeway Monday
Los Angeles, CA (March 29, 2021) – A California Highway Patrol officer suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident on Interstate 10 Freeway Monday morning.
The KTLA News reported the deputy was trying to get a man to stop walking along a center divider on the 10 Freeway. Authorities mentioned the unidentified 25-year-old man was first seen strolling on the freeway near the Arlington Avenue exit.
While in the process of apprehending the suspect, an eastbound vehicle struck the CHP officer.
Major Injury Pedestrian Accident in Los Angeles, March 29
Our sources indicated the collision took place near the Arlington Avenue exit in Los Angeles. Shortly after 7:15 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and rendered aid to the injured deputy. Because of the extent of their trauma, an ambulance transported the officer to Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center for treatment. The name of the injured CHP official and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the collision have not been revealed thus far. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway.
