The crash took place about 1:23 a.m. this morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the injured person to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not state whether or not the driver stopped or not.
The LAPD West traffic division is heading up the investigation.
Los Angeles County Pedestrian Accidents
There were 585 people killed and 50,917 injured in traffic accidents in 2013, according to a California Highway Patrol Statewide Integrated Traffic Report. The report stated there were 211 pedestrians among those killed and 4,721 injured countywide.
