Pedestrian Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at 99th Street and Zamora Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 26, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 99th Street and Zamora Avenue in Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place late Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly after 5:30 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in South Los Angeles. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of East 99th Street and Zamora Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Florence-Graham neighborhood. They found the person left wounded as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the pedestrian for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of 99th Street and Zamora Avenue to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
