Los Angeles Police Officer Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at Wall and Winston

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 21, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a Los Angeles police officer at Wall and Winston streets.

According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the accident took place earlier this month. Officers reported the collision in the afternoon of August 11.

The incident happened when an off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer was riding a motorcycle in the city. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.

The two crashed at the intersection of Wall and Winston streets.

Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They then found the officer who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.

Meanwhile, police believed that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They soon detained a person following the wreck.

Officers forced the area of Wall and Winston streets to shut down after the incident. The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
