Los Angeles Police Officer Seriously Injured in Crash Near Martin Luther King and Trinity
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 26, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a police officer near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Trinity Street in South Los Angeles.
The incident began when a Los Angeles police officer was conducting traffic control following a crash. It happened near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Trinity Street.
For an unknown reason, a car struck the LAPD officer. Officials believed that the motorist tried to drive into the closed road and hit the victim.
LAPD Officer Hit by Car in Historic South-Central Area
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene in the Historic South-Central neighborhood. They found the officer suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the hospital and soon listed him in serious condition. His name was not released.
Meanwhile, the driver who hit the officer stopped and cooperated with the police. Authorities forced Martin Luther and Trinity to shut down following the Los Angeles crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
