Fatality ID’d as David Olney, 27
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (April 2, 2016) – A motorcyclist was killed after rear-ending a car near Carson Street and Halldale Avenue Thursday afternoon, according to the Daily Breeze.
The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. at a Harbor Gateway pedestrian crosswalk.
Preliminary report stated that a 27-year-old motorcyclist, David Olney, was traveling on Carson Street approaching Halldale Avenue.
When suddenly, Olney slammed the rear-end of a car ahead of him. The crash car was at a stop on the roadway during the crash, as mentioned in the article.
The force from the collision was significant, sending Olney overthrown from his motorcycle.
The event then led Olney to hit another car in the next lane.
Coming to rest lying on the road, Olney sustained fatal head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
