Man Injured in Los Banos Hit-and-Run at Mercey Springs Road and Pacheco Boulevard
LOS BANOS, CA (June 29, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Mercey Springs Road and Pacheco Boulevard in Los Banos.
According to an article published by The Merced Sun Star, the accident took place last week on Friday. Officers reported the collision at about 11:35 p.m.
The incident happened on June 25 when a male pedestrian was walking east across Mercy Springs Road at Pacheco Boulevard in Los Banos. At the same time, a vehicle was going east on Pacheco.
Police said the driver then struck the man in the crosswalk at the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the victim left wounded in the roadway.

He sustained injuries to his face and arm as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took him to a hospital and listed him in stable condition.
Officials did not release the name of the patient. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area.
They described the car as a Chevrolet Camaro and soon located it parked at a Motel 6 in the Santa Nella area. Police ultimately arrested the hit-and-run driver who tried to run from the authorities.
Officers forced the intersection of Mercey Springs and Pacheco to shut down following the wreck. The Los Banos hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
