2 Bicycle Riders Injured in Los Olivos Crash at Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon
LOS OLIVOS, CA (November 7, 2021) – Two bicycle riders were injured after a crash at Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon Road in Los Olivos.
According to the Noozhawk and KSBY News, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a bicycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Los Olivos. They crashed on Highway 154 at the intersection with Foxen Canyon Road.
Bicycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one bicyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
An air ambulance took the victim to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. Medical personnel provided aid to the other cyclist for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
The reports did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Los Olivos bicycle crash is still under investigation.
