4 Injured in Los Olivos Crash on Highway 154 Near Foxen Canyon
LOS OLIVOS, CA (April 16, 2022) – A head-on crash left several people injured on Highway 154 near Foxen Canyon Road in Los Olivos.
According to the Noozhawk News and KSBY News, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 10:50 a.m.
The incident began when a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was going west on Highway 154 near Foxen Canyon Road in Los Olivos. At the same time, a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling east.
For an unknown reason, the Silverado drifted into the eastbound lane. The California Highway Patrol said the car then slammed head-on into the Blazer.
2 Cars Collide
The driver of the Silverado, a 69-year-old Los Olivos man and the 37-year-old San Francisco man driving the Blazer sustained critical injuries in the crash.
One of the passengers in the Blazer, a 37-year-old San Francisco man, suffered critical injuries. The third occupant of the victim car, a 38-year-old San Francisco man, survived with minor injuries.
An air ambulance took one patient to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. A ground ambulance rushed the others to the same hospital for further aid.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Los Olivos crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced a stretch of Highway 154 to shut down near Foxen Canyon for an hour following the wreck.
