1 Killed, 1 Injured in Lost Hills Crash on Interstate 5 Near Highway 46
LOST HILLS, CA (November 17, 2021) – A head-on crash killed one person and injured another on the Interstate 5 in Lost Hills.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:20 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Lost Hills. They crashed on the southbound Interstate 5, north of Highway 46.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon confirmed that one victim died as a result of the incident. Another individual ended up hurt due to the impact of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the No. 1 lane of the southbound Interstate 5 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Lost Hills crash is still under investigation.
