Pedestrian Killed in Lost Hills Hit-and-Run on Highway 46 Near Brown Material
LOST HILLS, CA (June 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 46 near Lost Hills.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place early Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 3:30 a.m.
The incident happened on June 27 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The California Highway Patrol said the driver hit the victim on Highway 46 in Lost Hills.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found the victim left lying on the ground, west of Brown Material Road. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
Officials forced a portion of Highway 46 near Brown Material to shut down following the collision. The fatal Lost Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
