Major Injury Truck Accident on I-5 Freeway in Lost Hills
LOST HILLS, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2021) — A Lost Hills truck accident happened Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway at Xenia Avenue
A black semi-truck, a car and a second semi-truck collided due to unknown circumstances about 4:54 a.m. on Oct. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported one of the trucks overturned onto its side during the collision.
Meanwhile, paramedics with the Kern County Fire Department responded to help the injured. Misael Villanueva and Rico Burlingame, 25, both suffered injuries.
They transported Misael Villanueva to Kern Medical Center by air ambulance for treatment of major injuries after the multi-vehicle crash. Paramedics took Rico Burlingame by ground ambulance to Hanford Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
The roadway was blocked by vehicles and emergency responders until they cleared the roadway about 7:56 a.m.
Investigators seek to determine liability for the Lost Hills truck accident.
