Fresno Man, 54, Killed in Pedestrian Accident Near Disneyland
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2019) — Louis Rosales, 54, of Fresno, was killed Saturday night when a driver suspected of DUI veered up onto the sidewalk and struck him near Disneyland.
Stefanie Lyn Bieser, 47, of La Mirada, who was driving the vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Anaheim police.
The collision took place about 11 p.m. on Saturday as the man walked on a sidewalk on Disneyland Drive, jut north of Katella Avenue. The vehicle was traveling north on Katella when for unknown reasons it jumped the curb, struck a pole and an electrical box, and finally struck the man, Anaheim police said.
Rosales suffered major injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to UC Irvine Medical Center. He later died at the hospital.
Police closed down northbound Disneyland Drive at Katella Avenue to investigate the crash.
