Lubov Kozelskaya, 76, Killed in Accident Near Encinitas Fire Station 5
ENCINITAS (October 9, 2018) – An elderly pedestrian killed after a traffic accident on Balour Drive Friday evening has been identified as Lubov Kozelskaya, according to NBC San Diego.
The 76-year-old Encinitas woman was a victim of a tragic collision which occurred on October 5 at around 7 p.m.
As per the article, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said Kozelskaya was crossing on Balour Drive in front of the Encinitas Fire Station #5 when for an unknown reason she was struck by a Prius.

The car was traveling north on Balour when it hit the pedestrian.
Paramedics responded to the scene and immediately transported Kozelskaya to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the report did not specify whether or not the driver of the vehicle involved stopped after hitting the elderly woman. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
