1 Killed in Lucerne Valley Crash at State Route 247 and Camp Rock Road
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (January 19, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person at State Route 247 and Camp Rock Road in Lucerne Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:09 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Lucerne Valley. They crashed on State Route 247 at the intersection with Camp Rock Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a gray Dodge Durango and a red colored vehicle. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one party died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased individual has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of State Route 247 and Camp Rock Road to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Lucerne Valley crash is still under investigation.
