Luella Smith was Pedestrian Killed on Avenue O in Lake Los Angeles

LAKE LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 4, 2026) — A 67-year-old woman who was fatally struck by an SUV in Lake Los Angeles has been identified as Luella Smith.

The collision occurred around 10:20 p.m. Saturday on East Avenue O, just west of 190th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the crash involved a white Toyota Land Cruiser. The driver remained at the location and cooperated with investigators.

No additional details about the circumstances of the crash were immediately released as the investigation continues.
