Multi-Vehicle Crash on Aug. 14th
SHAFTER, Calif. (August 24, 2023) — Luis Andree Gallegos Prieto, 21, died 10 days ago in a multi-vehicle crash near Shafter on East Lerdo Highway at Driver Road.
He was identified this week by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The young man suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle collision and died at the scene around 4:35 p.m. on August 14th, according to KGET News.
Luis Andree Gallegos Prieto was driving a vehicle that collided with another motorist at the intersection near Shafter, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision that ended with both vehicles completely burned.
The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department and CHP.
