Luis Ignacio Ochoa, 32, Badly Injured in Santa Ana Hit-and-Run Crash
SANTA ANA, CA (August 12, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash badly injured Luis Ignacio Ochoa on the Interstate 405 and 55 Freeway transition in Santa Ana.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 32-year-old man as the victim of the collision which took place on Thursday morning.
The incident happened when Luis Alberto Ignacio Ochoa was riding as a passenger in one of the two vehicles that collided in Santa Ana. The cars crashed for an unknown reason on the northbound Interstate 405 to southbound 55 Freeway transition road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found Luis Ignacio Ochoa who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the Santa Ana crash.
Medical personnel then took him to the Hoag Hospital Irvine for treatment. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the other vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers described the suspect car as a Lincoln Navigator. CHP forced the Interstate 405 and the 55 Freeway connector ramp to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the Santa Ana hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
