Motorcyclist Killed; Passenger Injured in Highway 128 Crash
Napa, California (March 24, 2021) – Luis Romero, 29, of Rio Linda, died following a motorcycle collision Sunday in Napa.
The Napa County Coroner’s office has identified the young man as the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle who collided with a pickup truck on Highway 128, just east of Wragg Canyon Road.
The fatal crash happened about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 21st.

The motorcyclist, who had a 31-year-old passenger, drifted across the solid double yellow lines before it sideswiped a pickup truck and collided with an SUV. Luis Romero died at the crash scene and his female passenger suffered undisclosed injuries. Paramedics transported the passenger by air ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa.
Meanwhile, Tru Knudsen, 35, of Vacaville, was driving the pickup truck and Jacqueline Cochran, 32, of Vacaville, was driving the SUV, did not appear to be injured. A 14-year-old passenger in the SUV, however, had minor injuries and was transported to Kaiser hospital in Vacaville.
Also, police closed down Highway 128 in both directions due to the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
