Luis Salina Garcia, 22, Killed in Santa Ana Crash on 5 Freeway
SANTA ANA, CA (July 31, 2021) – Luis Salina Garcia was killed after a car crash on the 5 Freeway in Santa Ana.
The coroner’s office identified the 22-year-old Santa Ana man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Saturday.
Deputies said Luis Manuel Salina Garcia was riding one of the two vehicles which collided in Santa Ana. They crashed for an unknown reason on the southbound 5 Freeway at 17th Street.

The California Highway Patrol described the cars involved as a Honda Pilot and possibly a Mitsubishi. CBS Los Angeles and My News LA wrote that the wreck took place at about 3:20 a.m.
Luis Salina Garcia died at the scene of the Santa Ana crash. Another person ended up suffering from unspecified injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down for more than one hour following the Santa Ana crash.
