Citrus College Football Player Killed in Motorcycle Accident
GLENDORA, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2022) — Luke Pruitt, 19, a Claremont, died Tuesday morning while riding a motorcycle when a driver allegedly made a U-turn in front of his bike at Mauna Loa Avenue and Grand Avenue in Glendora.
The teenager was a sophomore and captain of the football team at Citrus College in Glendora.
Glendora Police investigating the fatal crash reported the young motorcycle rider was traveling on Grand Avenue about 11:22 a.m. when a driver in an SUV suddenly made a U-turn at the intersection.
The motorcycle and SUV collided and the Claremont teen suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the official cause of the crash remains under investigation. It’s unknown at this time if there will be charges made against the motorist in the SUV.
