4 Injured in San Francisco Hit-and-Run Crash at 3rd and Carroll Streets
SAN FRANCISCO (July 28, 2019) – Several were injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Third and Carroll streets early Thursday.
According to reports by SF Examiner and KRON 4 News, the accident took place on July 25 at around 1:13 a.m. in the Bayview neighborhood.
Police said 19-year-old Lynjae Vines was driving a silver Mazda when she slammed into a fire hydrant at the intersection of 3rd and Carroll streets.
Paramedics responded to the scene and provided initial treatment to a total of four people, including two children, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Suspect Lynjae Vines, 19, Arrested For Hit-and-Run
The names and condition of the victims at this time were not disclosed. It was not mention if the wounded parties were transported to the hospital for further aid.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that Vines did not stop to render aid and fled. The San Francisco resident later surrendered, and was arrested and booked in county jail on a felony hit-and-run charge.
The suspect was believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to hitting the fire hydrant. The investigation is ongoing.
