Maddux Greene, Jordan Galvez Killed in Fresno Crash Involving DUI Suspect

FRESNO, Calif. (May 6, 2025) — Maddux Greene, 18, and Jordan Galvez, 19, both of Fresno, died in a crash Friday at Clovis and Shields avenues in Fresno.
The deadly, two-vehicle collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd, according to Tony Botti, PIO, the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner.
Suspected DUI Driver Killed Two Young Men
The two young men were struck by a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jagat Singh, who was allegedly driving drunk and fled the crash scene with his passenger.
Maddux Greene reportedly died at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, his passenger and best friend, Jordan Galvez, died early Saturday morning due to severe injuries. A third passenger survived with undisclosed injuries.
Repeat Drunk Driver Held on $1.3 Million Bail
Police investigating the collision located the driver and passenger who fled not far from the intersection. The motorist admitted to police he was driving the vehicle. Authorities confirmed the suspect is on probation for a previous DUI conviction in 2023 when his blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
Furthermore, the Range Rover driven by Singh was taken from a friend without the owner’s permission. He is facing multiple charges, including stealing a vehicle, two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and two counts of murder. Legal experts say he could face 15 years to life behind bars. Finally, he is being held in lieu of $1.3 million bail.
On Wednesday, May 7th, Singh was in court, but did not enter a plea. However, he is scheduled to be officially arraigned on May 21. The brother of Maddux Greene told reporters the suspect “hid behind a bush … and he watched my brother and his best friend burn to death.”
Our thoughts and prayers extend to the families and friends of the two teenagers. There is a fundraising page set up to help the family of Maddux and Galvez.
