At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Highway 395 Near Nelson Reservoir Road Friday
Madeline, CA (September 4, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal car accident that occurred on U.S. Route 395 on September 3, Friday.
Our sources indicated a single vehicle crashed for an unknown reason in the southbound side of Highway 395. The catastrophic incident took place near the Nelson Reservoir Road in Madeline.
CHP logged the collision around 6:37 a.m.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found a female party ejected from the disabled car. Authorities added a male party ended up pinned in the wreckage.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch later confirmed at least one person died as a result of the incident. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, several factors surrounding the fatal car accident in Madeline remained unclear. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly what happened here and why.
