1 Killed in Madera Acres Crash Near Avenue 17 and Prospect Drive
MADERA ACRES, CA (May 14, 2022) – At least one was killed after a car crash near Avenue 17 and Prospect Drive in Madera Acres.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 10 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the area of Madera Acres. They crashed near the intersection of Avenue 17 and Prospect Drive.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a Chevrolet Malibu and a pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 99.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the corner of Avenue 17 and Prospect Drive to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Madera Acres crash is still under investigation.
