Madera Car and Big Rig Accident on Highway 152 at Road 9

Major Injury Car Crash on SR-152 Tuesday

MADERA, Ca (June 23, 2020) – A traffic collision that occurred on Highway 152 at Road 9 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The crash took place Tuesday shortly after 6 a.m.

Primary reports indicated a gray sedan collided with a big rig truck on SR-152 at Road 9.

Officials mentioned, as a result of the accident, the truck overturned and caught fire. When emergency teams arrived at the scene, they found the big rig fully engulfed by flames. Meanwhile, the  driver of the sedan was reportedly trapped in the wreckage.

Authorities later confirmed the mishap resulted in major injuries. The identity of the patient, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.

Detectives handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the crash happened.
