
2 Injured in Madera County Crash at Avenue 11 and Road 33 1/3
MADERA COUNTY, CA (February 18, 2023) – A crash left two people injured at Avenue 11 and Road 33 1/3 in Madera County.
According to an article published by the FOX 26 News, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck on February 14 shortly before 9 a.m.
The incident happened when a Toyota Camry was going east on Avenue 11, approaching Road 33 1/3, in Madera County. At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling south on Road 33 1/3.
For an unknown reason, the Toyota failed to stop at the stop sign. In the process, the Camry collided with the pickup truck at the intersection.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Another Car
The California Highway Patrol said both cars then slammed into a PG&E pole nearby. Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and freed the trapped driver of the Toyota from the wreckage.
Paramedics rushed the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Medical personnel treated the motorist in the pickup for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Avenue 11 and Road 33 1/3 to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Madera County crash is still under investigation.
