Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Road 603, Near Run Way
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2022) — A fatal motorcycle versus car crash in Madera County on Road 603 happened Wednesday night, just east of Run Way.
The 58-year-old man riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle died in the Sept. 7th crash, according to Fox26News.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the other motorist identified as 50-year-old Stacey Teixeira.
Police investigating the deadly crash believe that Stacey Teixeira was driving a Lexus eastbound on Road 603 prior to the collision. The motorcycle rider was heading in the same direction behind the Lexus. The woman driving the Lexus suddenly initiated a 3-point turn into westbound lane before she backed up into the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was unable to avoid hitting the car and crashed into the back of it. The man was thrown into the roadway after the motorcycle crash and died at the scene on Road 603.
Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash and subsequently arrested Stacey Teixeira.
Investigators continue to work on the case.
