Boy, 11, Killed and Another Child Injured After Car Crashes Into Madera Home
MADERA (November 25, 2017) – An 11-year-old boy was killed, and another child was injured after a vehicle slammed into their home along Road 37 Saturday morning.
According to the KRCR News, the accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. near Cloverleaf Avenue.
Investigators determined that the involved motorist suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then struck a propane tank, went airborne and crashed into a nearby garage that was made into a bedroom.
Two children were sleeping in the bedroom at the time of the collision.
As per the article, responding medical personnel pronounced both the 11-year-old child and the involved driver deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that the other child, a 9-year-old boy, was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment of moderate to major injuries.
Investigators said they are still working on determining respective charges and liabilities in regards to the deadly accident.
