1 Killed in Madera Crash Near Avenue 15 and Skyview Road
MADERA, CA (February 12, 2023) – A DUI crash killed at least one person near Avenue 15 and Skyview Road in Madera.
According to the ABC News and Your Central Valley, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck on February 12 shortly after 6 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Madera. The cars crashed near the intersection of Avenue 15 and Skyview Road.
2 Cars Collide
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the cars as a red Mini Cooper and a blue Chevrolet Camaro. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene, just east of Highway 41.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that driving under the influence played a role in the incident. Officers forced the area of Avenue 15 and Skyview Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Madera crash is still under investigation.
