Man Killed in Madera Crash on Owens Street Near Wilson Street
MADERA (January 7, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident along Owens Street on Monday night, according to The Fresno Bee.
The collision was reported at around 6:20 p.m., south of Wilson Street.
As per the article, police said a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle for an unknown reason on Owens Street.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the site and found the man down in the middle of the roadway as a result of the crash.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the female driver stopped after hitting the man and cooperated with the authorities. She claimed that she failed to see the pedestrian and hit him.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Officials reported that there are no crosswalks where the crash took place.
