
Driver Hits Person on Gateway Drive in Madera
MADERA, Calif. (August 12, 2024) – A pedestrian accident happened last night or early Monday morning at Ninth Street and Gateway Drive in Madera.
A driver struck the victim due to unknown circumstances and then stopped. Someone called for police and an ambulance, according to Your Central Valley News.
The Madera Police Department responded and paramedics treated the injured person at the scene.
Police closed down Gateway Drive just north of Ninth Street to conduct an investigation into what happened and determine fault.
Preliminary indications are that DUI is not a factor in the pedestrian accident.
