Pedestrian Injured in Madera Hit-and-Run Near Lake Street and Sherwood Way
MADERA, CA (August 27, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash near Lake Street and Sherwood Way in Madera.
According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision on August 26 shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Madera. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Lake Street and Sherwood Way.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Pan-American Park. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not release the name of the pedestrian and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Lake Street and Sherwood Way to close following the collision.
The cause of the Madera hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
