Madison Felhaber, 18, ID’d as Suspect in Grass Valley Fatal Hit-and-Run on Alta Street
GRASS VALLEY, CA (October 31, 2021) – Authorities detained Madison Felhaber after a fatal hit-and-run crash on Alta Street in Grass Valley.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 18-year-old Grass Valley woman as the suspect in the collision which took place on Saturday.
The incident began when Madison Felhaber was driving a 2005 Infiniti G35 Alta Street near Dolores Drive in Grass Valley. At the same time, a 15-year-old girl was riding a skateboard with her friend.
CHP said for an unknown reason, Madison Felhaber then struck the Grass Valley teen. The CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News wrote that the accident occurred on October 30 at around 4:30 a.m.
Teen Skateboarder Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the skateboarder left lying on the ground. The victim died as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that Madison Felhaber did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Her car obtained possible front-end damage, including the grille and headlights.
Madison Felhaber soon turned herself in to the Nevada County Jail and faces a hit-and-run charge. The Grass Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
